Globular - Magnitudes of Order

Finally, the wait is over! Leagues of Psy-heads have been anxiously awaiting the release of Globular's second full album, Magnitudes of Order.

Morrison Bennett is a such an incredible talent. He's a visionary and pioneer, paving a cosmic path thru the galaxy of of psychoactive nu-skool sounds. Thank you Globular! Much love and respect.

Ott - Baby Robot EP

It's been a while since we've heard some new music from Ott. The Baby Robot EP is a simple two-track release, but both tracks are satisfying in their own way. I enjoyed this enthusiastic review from TheUntz.

"Zounds! A midweek treat for the weary psychedelic travelers shackled to desks and manning the meatpacking lines. Perched on the precipice of a massive fall tour complete with a stunning new live show and a gaggle of special guests. "Baby Robot" is a lush, symphonic piece oozing with walls of cushy synths and a hypnotic beat that laps up against the ethereal vox like waves on the shore.

The B-Side "Mr. Balloon Hands" is a trippy, broken beat opus riddle with Indian raga scatting and plenty of exotic percussion to get those tired feet moving. Bouncy, buoyant, and ebullient, this cut will push you over onto the safety of the weekend. whereupon Ott triumphantly returns to the great state of Colorado with a pair of shows, and then Boulder bound on Saturday. The rest of the country need not fret, the brand new show hits cities big and small from coast to coast through the month of September and into October with Bluetech, Anomie Belle, Aligning Minds, and many more incredible acts."

Lauge and Baba Gnohm - Refleksioner

I dig this track quite a bit. Refleksioner is a progressive down tempo track with a shuffle bug beat, pulsing bass line, and synth lines from Space Odyssey. This song has a special quality, it evokes emotion, thought and intention without being sappy. The breakdown at 5:00 is just gorgeous and the build up @ 5:30 just propels the listener into orbit. This is a track for the space age, and to receive adequate reception you may need to update your antenna, and turn up that cosmic boom box. .

Lauge & Baba Gnohm are the duo- Henrik Laugesen & Kalle Christensen, both from Denmark.
